When you are running paid ads you are obviously paying for traffic and you don't want to waste your money!
So you don't want to make the mistake of sending people to your website and they have a confused experience. So below are a few key pointers that should help you out.
Clear call to action - the first thing you want to make sure you have dialed in on your website is you want to have a clear call to action.
Something that tells the web visitor what to do next. The reason why this is so important is if the visitor is confused in ANY way they are going to immediately choose the easiest option which is to leave your website.
So when you are designing your website make sure you are being as detailed as possible about what you want the web visitor to do.
Really think through and take the lead of the visitor and drive them to places on your website that you want them to.
Don't leave any of this to chance because if you do you will miss out on a lot of opportunity and even worse waste a lot of money.
Clear Design- when a website visitor lands on your pages you want them to be able to easily read what you have.
The colors and clarity of your pictures and your messages matter way more than you might think.
The reason for this is if the web visitor cannot even read or see your pictures how do you expect them to convert?
Once again the lack of clear design will cause confusion to the visitor and you know confusion causes.....no decision.
So take the time to make sure your pictures, color scheme, videos, and anything else that is part of your design are easy to read, easy on the eyes, and easy to understand.
Page loading Times - this is an often overlooked aspect of your website. If your website takes forever to load...your web visitor will leave your website probably forever.
All of us now expect websites whether it is on our phones or on our laptops to load extremely quickly.
So if your website loads really slowly then it will cause the user experience to drop and they will go to another website that will load faster and buy.
There are many factors that can cause this but one of the biggest factors is the file size of pictures and video.
If you have a lot of pictures and video on your site make sure to optimize them for speed so it doesn't slow down your entire website and cause you to lose business.
Test different browsers - the last thing I will tell you when it comes to optimizing the user experience is to make sure you are looking at your website through different web browsers and devices.
You want your user experience to be the same and formatted perfectly per each device.
A lot of times I see a website that looks great on desktop and not so user friendly on mobile.
Or your website looks one way on Safari but another way on Google Chrome.
These are the small details that will determine how successful your site will be.
Remember you want to make it as easy as possible for someone to do business with you so make sure to pay attention to the details.
